Tens or Better
Five cards, one hand to build, and a question that changes everything: is your pair strong enough to win? Welcome to the world of premium video poker, by Worldmatch and available on VersaillesCasino.be.
Tens or Better takes the codes of classic poker and transposes them into a clear digital format, where every decision counts.
The principle is simple, yet remarkably strategic. You receive a five-card deal, keep the cards that suit you, then replace the rest. The objective: form the best possible combination.
How to Play Tens or Better
The name of the game sums up its core mechanic. Here, the qualifying threshold starts at a pair of tens.
In practice, your hand must contain at least a pair of 10s to be rewarded. Below that, the hand pays nothing.
A round unfolds in just a few steps:
- You place your bet before the deal
- Five cards appear on the screen
- You select the cards to keep
- The discarded cards are replaced
- Your final hand determines your reward
This apparent simplicity conceals genuine tactical depth. Should you hold a low pair or go for a flush? Every choice directly influences the final outcome.
A Hand Hierarchy to Master
As with any good video poker game, combinations are ranked according to their rarity. The harder your hand is to achieve, the higher the reward.
Here are the key combinations to aim for:
- Pair of 10s or better: the minimum threshold to be paid
- Two pair: two distinct pairs in your hand
- Three of a kind: three cards of the same value
- Straight: five consecutive cards
- Flush: five cards of the same suit
- Full house: three of a kind combined with a pair
- Four of a kind: four identical cards
- Royal flush: the absolute pinnacle of the pay table
The mention of the double pair of tens, present in the game's features, underlines the importance of these combinations within the payout logic.
